Walid Najjar is the General Manager of Interplast Co. Ltd and Cosmoplast Industrial Company LLC, both part of the Harwal Group, a leading provider of plastic and metal products. With over four decades of experience in the plastics industry, Walid has been instrumental in managing and expanding the operations of Interplast/Cosmoplast, which was established in 1975. Under his leadership, the group employs over 3,750 people, generates an annual turnover of $410 million, and converts more than 200,000 MT of plastic annually across diverse product lines.
Before joining Interplast/Cosmoplast in 1990, Walid worked as Plant Manager for Halwani Bros. Co. in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, overseeing the plastic factory that catered to food packaging and external markets. He began his career in 1980 as a Sales and Marketing Engineer with KUMARO Est. in Beirut and Jeddah.
A member of the GPCA Plastics Committee, Walid holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering specializing in Plastic Processing. His extensive expertise spans plastic compounds, electrical cable management systems, packaging, and pipeline systems, driving innovation and growth within the plastics and metals sector.
