Osamah Ghanim is a highly accomplished leader with a Chemical Engineering background and extensive expertise in managing manufacturing and maintenance organizations on a global scale. Currently serving as the Global Planning and Business Development Director at EQUATE Petrochemical Company, he brings over two decades of diverse experience, including 20 years in manufacturing, five years in project management, and five years in commercial and business roles.
Throughout his career, Osamah has held several key leadership positions. Notably, he led the Kuwait Olefins II Project across multiple locations, including the USA, the Netherlands, Spain, the Philippines and Kuwait, from 2004 to 2009. He later served as Operations Leader for Polyethylene Operations (2009–2013) and Director of the Polypropylene Plant (2013–2017). Seeking new challenges, he relocated to the USA to establish and lead a Maintenance Organization for 18 months before returning to Kuwait.
Upon his return, he held roles as the Global Supply Chain Director and Stakeholder-Contracts Relations Director before assuming his current position. His extensive background in both technical and business domains, combined with exceptional leadership skills, has been instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving outstanding results.
In his current role, Osamah oversees EQUATE’s strategic planning, enterprise risk management, and business excellence initiatives, focusing on maximizing stakeholder value, optimizing systems and fostering continuous innovation and value creation.
