Naiyl Rashid is currently the R&D Director for the Middle East. He is responsible for initiating, developing, and managing R&D collaborations, joint development projects, and activities with key customers and universities in the region. Naiyl was the Senior Manager of the Engineering Innovation Center at the Des Plaines HQ office, where he led the engineering innovation team for three years, working on both existing and new technology innovations.
Naiyl joined UOP in 2006 and has since held various technical and managerial positions in R&D, Field Service, Engineering Optimization, Business and Marketing Development, and Business Leader & Offering Management for the Aromatics and Derivative Business. He has over 18 years of industry experience and holds a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from North Carolina State University.
