Dr. Sulaiman Al-Khattaf is the Vice President, Technology & Innovation, SBU Petrochemicals, Tasnee, Al-Jubail and a Board Member of Saudi Polyolefins Company (SPC).
He has published 141 scientific articles, and he is the inventor of 30 USPTO patents. Before joining Tasnee, he was the professor of chemical engineering and director of Center for Refining & Petrochemicals at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. Dr. Sulaiman has led several research projects for Aramco, SABIC, UOP, OPEC and KACST. He received KAUST award for winning Center-in-Development in petrochemicals in 2008 and KFUPM distinction awards for excellence in research in 2007, 2010 and 2012. In 2019, he was awarded the first prize in the branch of scientific research of the Award of Presidents and Rectors of Universities and Higher Education Institutions in GCC Countries.
He has been conducting research in the area of petrochemical industries for more than 25 years focusing on conversion of crude oil to chemicals and aromatic & olefins catalytic conversion.
