Devesh Katiyar is a Partner at Strategy& and a key member of the Energy, Resources, and Sustainability (ERS) practice in the Middle East. With over 15 years of experience in the consulting and energy sectors, Devesh has worked across multiple geographies, helping clients navigate complex challenges and achieve sustainable growth.
In his current role, Devesh specializes in local content, oil and gas, chemicals, value chain optimization, and sustainability. He has led numerous projects for governments, national oil companies, and public sector entities in the Middle East and beyond, focusing on strategy development, operational transformation, and performance optimization. Devesh has also co-authored several thought leadership pieces, including studies on recycled plastics, ESG-driven local content strategies, and value chain optimization for national oil companies.
An active contributor to the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), Devesh co-authored the article “Three ESG Opportunities for GCC Chemicals Companies to Assert Global Leadership” and played a key role in presenting “Turning ESG Theory into Action” at the 2022 GPCA Annual Forum.
Before joining Strategy&, Devesh worked with Schlumberger, the world’s largest oil and gas services company. He holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and completed a postgraduate management program at the Indian School of Business. In his free time, Devesh enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and spending time with family.
