Started his career in Petrochemical industry 25 years ago with EQUATE Petrochemical Company in Kuwait. Worked in various positions in Manufacturing, Maintenance, Project Management, Procurement, Sales and Business Management.
In 2006, Ahmad Al-Saleh joined Dow Europe GmbH, as a Strategic Sourcing and Global Trading Manager for the MENA regions, responsible for the development of Sourcing and Trading strategies supporting multiple businesses.
In 2009, Ahmad was responsible to Lead EQUATE Procurement Organization, where he launched an entire Procurement Strategic Transformation Initiative. In addition to being a member of the EQUATE strategic committee responsible for formulating the long-term corporate strategy.
In 2013, Ahmad assumed the role of Polyethylene Business Director, responsible for managing EQUATE Polyethylene business portfolio. Ahmad also held the position of President of EQUATE Marketing Company from February 2016 to March 2018.
In April 2018, Ahmad was appointed as the Global Business Director – Ethylene Glycol, where he is responsible for managing EQUATE / MEGlobal’s Ethylene Glycol business globally.
He is the Chairman of the International Trade Committee (ITC) within the Gulf Petrochemical and Chemicals Association (GPCA) and a member of International Council of Chemical Association Trade Policy Network, representing GPCA ITC. Additionally, Ahmad serves as a member of the B20 Trade & Investment Taskforce and is an active member of multiple industry associations.
Ahmad is married and has four children. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
