Saud Alghwainem is Lead Scientist in Data Innovation at SABIC, responsible for hybrid model development and deployment across the company's global asset base. His work integrates machine learning with first-principles process models to produce live digital twins and inferential property estimators operating in real time and applied to optimization projects, grade transition, yield uplift and product development. He has delivered modelling work across polyolefins, refining and agri-nutrients. Prior to SABIC he spent years delivering process modelling projects across the region's petrochemical, refining and specialty chemical sectors, and was an early practitioner of commercial hybrid modelling, with published work on the subject.
