Seneca Cottom

Seneca Cottom is the Head of Sustainability at Alshaya Group, a leading international franchise operator in the Middle East. With over 15 years of experience driving operational efficiency and sustainable transformation, she leads cross-sector initiatives that embed environmental responsibility into core business practices.

At GPCA Plastics Conference, Seneca will share insights from Alshaya’s innovative “Connected Recycling” project with Ericsson—a tech-enabled solution that enhances traceability and circularity in post-consumer plastic waste. By connecting local recyclers to digital infrastructure, the projects unlocking new pathways for scalable material recovery and responsible production.

Seneca holds multiple certifications in sustainable business and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Sustainability.  She is known for championing pragmatic, regionally relevant solutions that reduce waste, generate value, and accelerate the circular economy.
