Nicholas Kolesch

Nick brings experience from a 25+ year career in commercial roles in the specialty chemical and plastic resin sector, with leadership roles spanning several countries in Europe and Asia. Most recently, Nick was the inaugural Vice President of Projects at the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, a non-profit organisation established in Singapore by leading companies in the plastics value chain. During his leadership of the Alliance’s project activities, he pioneered the advancement of a solution portfolio addressing the challenges of plastic waste collection, sorting, and valorisation, enabling a circular economy. Prior to joining the Alliance, Nick held several commercial leadership roles in the Borealis Group, with a focus on packaging and automotive. After completing his MBA at the University of British Columbia, Nick started is career with Ciba Specialty Chemicals in Switzerland, holding leadership roles in sales, marketing, and business development in Switzerland, Hong Kong, Thailand, and the UK. Nick established a Singapore-based independent consultancy in Q3 2024, supporting clients with efforts to advance their circular plastic business models and sustainability efforts. He is currently serving as a Strategic Advisor to several clients including recyclers, plastic waste recovery organisations, and investment funds around world.
