Julio Arboleda

Mr. Arboleda brings over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, having held senior analytical roles with various international organizations, including OPEC, where he contributed for several years to the development of the World Oil Outlook (WOO). His expertise includes energy policy, data analysis, government advisory services, and energy project development. He is also passionate about sustainable energy and project management, which he has advanced through postgraduate studies in North America and Europe. Most recently, Mr. Arboleda has played a key role in the INC negotiations on developing an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, representing KAPSARC as an observer. He has also published work on plastic pollution and circularity.
