Alaa Al Lawati

Alaa Al Lawati is a Sustainability Business Development Manager at OQ, a global integrated energy company with roots in Oman. Alaa specializes in polymers, circularity and is responsible for plastic recycling at OQ. Alaa is also the Technical Advisor and negotiator Of the Omani delegation at the United Nations (UNEP). She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sheffield and a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy from the University of Glasgow. Alaa is known for her passion about the environment and green sustainable development. She is also a member of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association’s (GPCA) Plastics Committee.
