GPCA Plastics Excellence Awards
Launched in 2011 during the 2nd GPCA Plastic Conference, the GPCA Plastics Excellence Awards are designed to recognize outstanding initiatives in plastics conversion, plastics process improvement and product development by companies and individuals in the Arabian Gulf. The Awards are part of GPCA’s aspirations and continuous contributions to highlight the untapped potential of the plastics value chain in the GCC region.
Objective
The Awards aim to promote collaboration between plastic producers, converters, and machinery manufacturers, while encouraging innovation and contributions from the younger generation through a special student category focused on plastic research.

GPCA Supply Chain Excellence Awards
The GPCA Supply Chain Excellence Awards was launched in 2016 during the 8th GPCA Supply Chain Conference. The Award aims to recognize organizations and individuals, who have significantly contributed to optimizing the chemical supply chain in the GCC. The Award is open to both public and private sector organizations engaged in supply chain and logistics operations in GCC countries, who have excelled in their achievements and developed innovative solutions for their operations.

The Awards are aimed at honoring organizations that support chemical supply chain operations, rewarding outstanding achievements that add business value, and encouraging benchmarking and friendly competition among companies involved in chemical supply chain and logistics activities.

Supply Chain Innovation Award
This award recognizes the technological innovations (including digital technologies) that improve the processes of an organization.
Best LSP of the Year Award
This award acknowledges Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), who demonstrate excellence in their operations or through projects.
Excellence in Sustainability Award
This award is presented to a supply chain initiative in the GCC that has achieved a positive, quantifiable impact on society, local communities, and/or the environment.
Women in Supply Chain Award
This award is designed to recognize a female leader who has contributed positively and made an impact in the regional chemical supply chain sector.
GPCA Responsible Care Excellence Awards
In 2015, GPCA launched the GPCA Responsible Care Excellence Awards to honor companies and individuals that have demonstrated leadership and outstanding performance in the implementation and execution of the Responsible Care® program. Through this Award series, GPCA provides its member companies and other industry stakeholders with an opportunity to showcase their achievements in Responsible Care®, while sharing best practice and adding value to their business.
Objective
To present practical, evidence-based initiatives in which Responsible Care Management System is well-integrated as a key business value and the measurable excellence in EHS&S reported in Performance Metrics has proven exemplary. The Award serves as a mechanism to collect, validate, recognize, and document such systems, initiatives, and sustainable management.

This category is aimed at recognizing companies’ commitment to Responsible Care in maintaining Environment, Health, Safety and Security (EHS&S) continuous improvement with reference to the GPCA’s Responsible Care Performance Metrics.
Process Safety
This category is aimed at rewarding the best initiative toward improving process safety performance, culture and reducing process safety risk to prevent a major process safety event.
Sustainable Environment Protection
The aim of this award category is to recognize companies that have made significant contributions to environmental protection and sustainability.
Rising Star Award
This award category is dedicated to GPCA full members. The basis for this award is to encourage a young employee (less than 30 years of age at the time of the award/nomination), who has demonstrated exceptional creative performance in EHS&S.
Community Awareness
To recognize and honor companies and individuals in the petrochemical industry who have demonstrated excellence in community outreach and engagement.
Responsible Partner
Recognizing industry contractors who have implemented the Responsible Care concept into their organization. The company may not be recognized as RC but has been continuously improving their EHS&S performance
