The new DP World facility will support current and future demand for both dangerous goods (DG) and non-dangerous goods (non-DG) across the UAE and the GCC
The UAE and wider GCC continue to strengthen their position as important hubs for the global chemical industry, with growing investment in manufacturing, processing, trading and distribution across the region.
As the chemical sector evolves, so does the need for logistics infrastructure that can support increasingly complex supply chains. Access to specialized storage, safe handling capabilities and efficient connections to regional and international markets is becoming an increasingly important part of the ecosystem.
In November 2026, additional chemical warehousing capacity is expected to open in Jafza North, supporting current and future demand for both dangerous goods (DG) and non-dangerous goods (non-DG) across the UAE and GCC.
Strategically located close to Jebel Ali Port, the facility provides proximity to key trade and transport links, helping businesses optimize transportation time and costs. It is also positioned near Al Maktoum International Airport, major industrial zones and regional transport corridors.
The state-of-the-art facility will provide dedicated warehousing for DG Classes 3, 8 and 9, as well as non-DG goods, supported by specialized handling capabilities and safety measures designed for chemical-sector requirements. The facility brings DP World’s global chemical logistics expertise to the local market, combining international experience with knowledge of regional supply chain needs.
Beyond storage, the facility will form part of an integrated logistics network connecting warehousing with freight forwarding, transportation and distribution services. This enables businesses in the chemical sector to move goods from origin to destination through multimodal solutions, supporting flows between ports, storage locations and end markets across the UAE, GCC and beyond.
The facility reflects continued investment in infrastructure and capabilities to support the evolving chemical supply chain, providing additional capacity and integrated solutions as demand across the region continues to grow.
