The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Hassan H. Al-Yami, President and CEO, Petro Rabigh, to the GPCA Board of Directors.
Al-Yami brings more than 30 years of experience across the refining and petrochemical sectors, spanning operations, engineering, major industrial projects, business transformation and business development in Saudi Arabia and internationally.
He began his career with Saudi Aramco in 1995 at Ras Tanura Refinery, where he held a range of operational, engineering, and leadership roles. His career has included senior positions at Petro Rabigh, PRefChem in Malaysia and SATORP, as well as serving as Saudi Aramco Vice President for Ras Tanura Refinery.
Al-Yami holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tulsa, United States, and has completed executive leadership studies at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
His appointment will strengthen the expertise and industry leadership represented on the Board, as GPCA continues its mission to advance the sustainable development of the chemical and petrochemical industry in the region.
GPCA took the opportunity to thank its outgoing Board Member, Othman Al-Ghamdi, for his valuable contribution, dedication and leadership, serving on the GPCA Board.
