Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu aims to attract investments worth USD 533 billion over the next five years

Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, a GPCA member company, aims to attract investments worth USD 533 billion over the next five years, a target that was originally set for 2045, at a time when current investments have already exceeded USD 400 billion.

Speaking in an interview with Asharq, RCJY President Khalid Al-Salem said that the Commission currently has USD 133 billion in investments under negotiation across multiple sectors, noting that RCJY is recording growth beyond its initial projections.

Investment growth reached 4% in 2025, surpassing the 3% target, and is expected to continue into 2026. He added that government efforts to stabilize markets, including oil, fertilizers, and petrochemicals, are helping attract high‑quality investments to the Red Sea coast, particularly in Yanbu and Jazan.

A key focus for RCJY is expanding into new sectors, including logistics and downstream manufacturing, aligned with the Kingdom’s goal of ranking among the world’s top 10 logistics hubs.

Al‑Salem also highlighted the growing importance of mining, noting that RCJY is working to attract major investments as Saudi Arabia positions mining as the third pillar of its industrial economy. With untapped mineral resources now estimated at USD 2.5 trillion, the sector is expected to significantly increase its contribution to GDP by 2030.
