GPCA, represented by Noora Mukhtar, Senior Research Specialist, participated in a high-level webinar hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham Egypt) in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Dubai (AmCham Dubai) titled “Extended Producer Responsibility in Action: Lessons from the UAE.”
The webinar was moderated by Shereen Shaheen, Head of Corporate and Public Affairs Grand Middle East and Africa, Tetra Pak, and featured Mohamed El Dabaa, Chairman, Circular Packaging Association, UAE, and Noora Mukhtar, Senior Research Specialist, GPCA.
Held virtually on 12 February 2026, the session discussed regional experiences related to circular packaging and evolving waste management frameworks.
Speakers reflected on progress across the GCC, the role of data-driven analysis and phased approaches, and the importance of aligning policy discussions with system readiness and industry realities.
