The workshop will take place from 10 to 11 September 2025 at the Pullman Dubai Downtown Hotel, Dubai, UAE

GPCA is set to host the 4th Product Stewardship Workshop from 10–11 September 2025 at Pullman Downtown, Dubai, UAE, under the theme “Innovative Product Stewardship Journey Through Sustainable Future with Artificial Intelligence and Regulatory Landscape.”

This highly anticipated two-day event will gather industry leaders, regulatory authorities, and global experts to explore the latest trends in product stewardship, sustainability, and regulatory developments. Designed as a platform for knowledge-sharing and collaboration, the workshop will highlight practical strategies and innovative solutions to advance environmental responsibility and ensure long-term business resilience in the chemical sector.

The program will feature 10 technical sessions and two interactive workshops, each addressing critical issues shaping the future of product stewardship and chemicals management.

Among the key topics to be addressed is the establishment of smart product stewardship systems, where experts will discuss how companies can integrate data-driven tools, automation, and AI-powered analytics to enhance compliance, traceability, and sustainability across product lifecycles. Complementing this, a dedicated session will focus on greenwashing risks and the evolving regulatory frameworks designed to address misleading sustainability claims.

The workshop will also showcase innovations in Saudi Arabia’s latest environmental performance reporting system, including a newly introduced platform that enables monitoring, analyzing, and reporting environmental impacts in alignment with regional regulations. This aligns with the broader theme of leveraging AI technologies, which will be explored further in sessions dedicated to SDS management and environmental leadership initiatives, where artificial intelligence is positioned as a driver of smarter, more efficient compliance and sustainability practices.

Regional priorities will also feature prominently, including discussions on the National Chemical Safety Program, Saudi REACH, and the implementation of GHS in the GCC, providing participants with the latest regulatory insights. Additionally, the workshop will highlight sustainable chemistry programs, showcasing industry success stories and innovative solutions that contribute to lowering environmental footprints. The agenda will also spotlight agri-nutrient stewardship, where experts will present circular economy approaches, precision agriculture, and the role of AI and digitalization in sustainable fertilizer management.

To complement the technical program, two in-depth workshops will be held on the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). The first will assess the regulation’s potential impact on industry and strategies for compliance, while the second will provide hands-on training in emission calculations, equipping participants with tools to manage carbon reporting and minimize exposure.

By bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders and thought leaders, this year’s edition of the Product Stewardship Workshop promises to be an essential forum for advancing product stewardship practices in the region, fostering collaboration, and shaping a sustainable, AI-driven future for the chemical and petrochemical industry.
