Ashraf Al Mamari, Group Chief Executive Officer of OQ, joins GPCA Board of Directors, replacing Hilal Al Kharusi
On 20 February 2025 the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) welcomed Ashraf Al Mamari, Group Chief Executive Officer, OQ, to the GPCA Board of Directors, replacing Hilal Al Kharusi, former Board Member, GPCA, and Chief Executive, Commercial and Downstream, OQ.
Al Mamari has nearly 20 years of experience in various organizational leadership roles. With a BSc Degree in General Management from Sultan Qaboos University Al Mamari has held multiple leadership roles in the energy sector in Oman and abroad.
He first joined OQ in 2013, as a Learning and Development Manager at Takatuf Oman, following which he worked in OQ Exploration and Production and OQ Chemicals in Germany before leading the People, Technology and Culture function of OQ.
Al Mamari is currently a Board member of Abraj Energy Services and OQ Trading.
