“Be The Change”, an initiative of GPCA and supported by Alliance To End Plastic Waste (AEPW), has attracted the support of 10 GCC schools to drive early education on plastic waste among students and young members of the region’s community.
“Be The Change” is an evolution of the Waste Free Environment Campaign, an award-winning CSR initiative led by GPCA from 2013-2020.

Drawing inspiration from this and the Clean4Change campaign by the Alliance to End Plastics Waste, “Be The Change” seeks to further the global mission of educating communities on the significance of waste management and the potential of a circular economy. GPCA believes that the younger generation holds the key to the region’s future.
With this in mind the primary aim of the campaign is to mobilize and ‘edutain’ young individuals in the GCC, while driving awareness about recycling and amplifying waste literacy.
By integrating education with entertainment, GPCA aims to make the learning process engaging and memorable. The movement has recently attracted the support of ten schools based in the region and will continue to gain momentum by attracting new participants from across the GCC through targeted public outreach activities.
