- Open market policy: GPCA advocates for policies that foster competitive, open markets, ensuring the petrochemical industry’s resilience.
- Free Trade Agreements (FTAs): By engaging in dialogues around FTAs, GPCA supports regional integration and the removal of trade barriers, enhancing economic cooperation.
- Circular Economy and waste management infrastructure: GPCA collaborates with the Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) and the GCC Accreditation Center to promote sustainable waste management and circular economy practices. GPCA played a pivotal role in establishing the Circular Packaging Association in the UAE and the National Committee of Packaging Circularity in Saudi Arabia, driving the circularity agenda and policy formulation.
- Standards formulation: Working alongside regional bodies, GPCA contributes to developing robust standards that align with global best practices, ensuring the GCC petrochemical industry meets international benchmarks.
